Run the agent with a server profile
Run the agent using the readings selected in your server profile.

What you need
A Server monitor, a connected agent and a saved profile.
How to do it
- Choose the components and readings in your monitor's server profile.
- For manual configuration, set server_profile to true. Remove fixed series, filesystem, interface, SMART and container mappings from that configuration.
- Start the agent, wait for its configuration confirmation and check the first readings.
Good to know
Profile mode and fixed local mappings cannot be mixed. Detecting components does not enable readings: select them explicitly. Missing permissions or unsupported readings are shown as unavailable, never as zero. In the server profile, enable automatic local filesystem discovery to add three capacity measurements per data volume. New standard Server/NAS installations enable it by default. Boot, temporary, container and network filesystems are excluded. Removed volumes retain their history; manually disabled measurements stay disabled.
Optional privileged checks need a narrowly configured local policy on your own machine. A profile cannot send arbitrary program paths, arguments or passwords to the agent.
If something goes wrong
Check the saved profile version and local permissions if the agent is waiting. Do not run the entire agent as root to work around one unavailable reading.
