Custom application data
Send the application measurements, states and events that matter to you.

What you need
A monitor, suitable series and a device key. Start with the HTTPS guide.
How to do it
- Create a Custom or Application monitor and a series for each measurement.
- Choose the Python, JavaScript or shell example and replace its demo IDs with your own.
- Send a current value, check the response and open the monitor to see it.
Good to know
Keep the same IDs, timestamp and content when retrying a reading. Different label combinations use separate series slots. Do not send credentials or personal content in labels or messages.
If something goes wrong
Check the key, series type, unit and timestamp if a request is rejected. A changed measurement meaning needs a new series.
