Linux server monitoring

Monitor CPU, memory, disk space and network traffic on your own Linux server.

What you need

Access to your server and permission to install the agent.

How to do it

  1. Create a server monitor in Setup and connect the agent.
  2. Start with CPU, memory and the system disk. Add the network interfaces and other supported values you need.
  3. Check the readings and add threshold or missing-heartbeat alarms.

Good to know

CPU is shown as a percentage; memory and disk usage use bytes. Network totals are counters; a rate view shows traffic per second.

Optional checks need support and permissions on your own server. Not available means no reading, not zero. Server and monitor lists update automatically while visible. During a brief reconnection, the last confirmed values remain visible. If an update stays delayed, select Retry.

If something goes wrong

Use metribeacon doctor on your server if readings are missing. Check the chosen components and local permissions before changing alarm thresholds.
