What you need

A working local or remote MCP connection with permission for the selected operation.
How to do it

List the tools in your client, or run metribeacon monitoring list. Use monitoring describe OPERATION for its inputs and permissions.
Select the workspace and use resource IDs you can access. For history, choose a period and an available resolution.
Preview changes with template_validate and template_plan where applicable. Confirm deletion or publication explicitly before applying it.
Read tools use config:read or telemetry:read. Changes need config:write; key operations need keys:write. Inputs named request contain the API request fields shown by the tool. List results may include a cursor for the next page.
To send data through MCP, enable your current credential with metribeacon mcp telemetry enable and grant telemetry:write in a new connection. Enabling it needs keys:write and does not upgrade existing tokens. Send only to the intended monitor.
live_sample observes selected series briefly: ten seconds by default, at most 15. The CLI live command can stream updates; --json produces JSON lines. History and file tools may return a job or a paged result rather than the entire download immediately.
