Explore measurement history

Explore readings in charts and tables for a period you choose.

What you need

Access to the series you want to examine.

How to do it

  1. Open a series history from its monitor and select a preset or custom period.
  2. Choose automatic resolution or an available fixed resolution. Switch between chart and table.
  3. Wait for longer queries to finish. Use pagination for further rows, or cancel a query you no longer need.

Good to know

Charts show up to 1,000 points; table pages show up to 2,000 rows. A summary point represents several readings. Check the resolution and completeness labels when comparing periods.

A query keeps the same data snapshot while you page through it. Start a new query to include later arrivals. Query results expire after one day.

Read and customize server charts

Server and NAS monitors group related measurements by component. Capacity charts show used space and limits; CPU time is split into non-overlapping parts. Container timelines show states, while restart bars show new restarts per displayed time bucket. Open Charts configure to choose lines, areas or bars, select up to eight numeric measurements, and save a shared device layout. Capacity requires matching used and total measurements from one component. Missing readings remain gaps. Chart titles open the full history; data details retain exact source values. Reset to Automatic to use the current global presets.

Continue in the background

For a longer history query, choose “Continue in background” before leaving the page. For CSV exports, you can also select continuation before starting. Open Background jobs in the header to see your jobs in the current workspace, cancel them, or open completed results and downloads. Results expire after one day; continuing does not extend retention or increase your query capacity. Recent availability analyses and reports are listed there too.

If something goes wrong

For older periods, select a resolution within its retention period. If a query expires, start it again. Missing and expired readings are shown separately.

  • Archive queries and downloads

Wait for longer history queries and download their results when ready.

  • Data retention

Choose how long your measurements remain available. Set shorter periods for your account or an individual monitor, review the effect before saving and follow the cleanup status.

  • CLI history and alarm rules

Read history and manage alarm rules without opening the dashboard.
