Home Assistant integration
Send a Home Assistant sensor reading with RESTful Command.
On this page
What you need
A Home Assistant installation, an available sensor, a MetriBeacon series and a device key.
How to do it
- Copy the configuration example into configuration.yaml. Store the full Bearer header value in secrets.yaml.
- Call rest_command.metribeacon_point with your series ID, the numeric sensor value, a UTC timestamp and new batch and point UUIDs.
- Read response_variable and check for HTTP 200. Confirm the reading in your monitor.
Good to know
Do not send unavailable sensor states as zero. RESTful Command does not provide a durable offline buffer; use a persistent sender if you need to bridge connection outages.

Check the Bearer prefix, valid JSON and sensor availability. Retry with the same action data rather than new IDs. Keep secrets.yaml out of shared exports.
