Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about accounts, data and notifications.

On this page

Is MetriBeacon free?

Yes, within the displayed usage limits. More keys or workspaces do not create extra allowances. See Usage for your account limits.

Do I need a password?

No. Sign in with a link or six-digit code sent to your email. Provider sign-in is available when its button is shown.

Does a gap mean zero?

No. A gap means no reliable reading is available. Check the sender, clock and connection before assuming the monitored source failed.

Why does older history look different?

Original readings expire after seven days. Longer periods use summaries: minute, 15-minute or hourly values. See retention.

Why did my message not arrive?

Check the destination and delivery history. Sent means provider acceptance, not confirmed receipt. Check spam, mute, maintenance and reached limits.

Does MetriBeacon run my jobs?

No. Your scheduler starts them. The CLI wrapper reports their start and outcome; a successful report does not prove the task's output is correct.

Can I use MQTT?

Yes, with your own broker and the local bridge. MetriBeacon receives its readings over HTTPS.
