Maintenance, pause and mute
Choose pause, mute or maintenance for planned interruptions.

What you need
Permission to edit the affected alarm rule.
How to do it
- Pause a rule when you want to stop evaluating it. Resume it when checks should continue.
- Mute a rule until a chosen time to keep incidents visible without notifications.
- For a rule maintenance window, set its start, end and reason and check the displayed time zone.
Good to know
Rule maintenance pauses new alarm and recovery transitions. It does not label missing data as healthy. You can plan up to 20 current or future windows per rule, at most seven days long and 30 days ahead.
Workspace-wide maintenance, where available, has its own settings. Check which maintenance applies; removing a rule window does not remove an independent mute period.
If something goes wrong
If a notification is missing, check the incident's suppression reason, active windows and mute time before sending more tests.
