Create, edit, copy and archive
Rename, edit or copy resources. Permanently delete monitors and archive workspaces, groups or series.

What you need
Permission to edit the selected workspace, monitor or series.
How to do it
- Open the resource's action menu and choose Edit or Rename.
- Use Copy to create a separate resource. Check the copied settings and connect its data source separately.
- Use Archive to stop new data for a resource you no longer need actively.
Good to know
Copies do not include historical readings or API keys. Archived resources stop accepting new readings; existing history still follows its retention periods.
Changing a name does not change stored values. Account deletion is a separate action that removes the account's data.
If something goes wrong
An error keeps your draft open. If settings changed in another session, reload the saved version before editing again.
Permanently delete a monitor
As the workspace owner, open the monitor settings and choose Delete monitor. Review the linked resources and enter the exact monitor name. The monitor stops accepting data immediately. Follow the deletion progress in the monitor list until Fully deleted appears. Storage problems pause cleanup and are retried automatically.
Deletion removes all monitor data, including archives, events, runs, alarm history and saved exports, regardless of retention periods. Linked displays and SLOs are removed; other monitors, dashboards and status pages remain. Dependent calculations stop with Source deleted. Already archived monitors are automatically permanently deleted, including in archived workspaces. Daily usage is not restored; previously delivered messages and downloaded files cannot be recalled.
