What you need
Know the target and the condition you expect. Central checks use permitted public targets and the capabilities offered for your workspace.
How to do it
- Choose Add monitor → Network & certificates, then the relevant check type.
- Fill in the target and protocol fields. For DNS, choose the record and expected condition; for TLS, review the certificate checks.
- Select available locations, interval, confirmation settings and only the measurements you need. Review the proposed usage before saving.
- Save and inspect the first result in the monitor overview. Explicitly enable suitable alarm suggestions if needed.
Good to know
Location policy and confirmation settings determine network check results. Unknown or stale observations never count as success. Domain expiry is an optional daily registry check in the advanced HTTP/HTTPS settings, disabled for new monitors. Missing or conflicting expiry dates remain unknown and never change website availability.
If something goes wrong
Check target spelling, selected protocol and location availability. Missing protocol capabilities cannot be enabled by changing the monitor name. Keep private targets within the explicitly supported local setup.
